Project 01 was a series of residencies and exhibitions shaped around the curatorial theme Drawing Out Hilbre, led by curator Joanna Leah with co-curators Terry Duffy, Dominic Wilkinson, and Emma Embury as part of Indy Biennial 2025.

That same core team now leads Hilbre Projects from a new home in the Buoymasters House and Workshop on Hilbre, newly launched as CASS (Centre of Arts, Science & Sustainability). Here, artists are invited to respond to Hilbre’s ecologies and culture, scientists are welcomed to study the island, and interdisciplinary collaborations between the two are actively supported and developed.
