‘Moteur’ (motion) is central to how I research sites, places, bodies, systems, and materials. Embodied movement and notation respond to specific sites of movement as drawing ecologies, drawn, planned, and in some cases performed.
CARBON PAPER DRAWINGS 2023 - 2024
Drawing with carbon is an evolutionary practice as a by-product and the excess to drawing diagrams, dance diagrams, and blueprinting movement analysis. Carbon traces exist in fragments as a quasi-notation to the original articulation on paper. They are more than the work; they have become foci in my periphery of seeking a notation for articulating a site experienced in movement.

Graphite paper and carbon paper become vessels for inscriptions generated through drawing and ultimately become the negative space of the drawing. This collection covers poetry in motion and animated lines.
Medium and scale: A4 and A3 graphite pieces and A0 prints.
